Abu Dhabi residents are advised to brace for varying intensities of rainfall from Monday, October 7, until Wednesday, October 9, according to an announcement by the Abu Dhabi media office. Authorities have urged the public to exercise caution during the weather changes.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) reported that the upcoming rain is caused by surface low pressure and a relatively cold air mass in the upper levels. Fresh to strong winds may also accompany the rain, particularly in Al Ain and Al Dhafra areas.

On Sunday, October 6, parts of the UAE, including Fujairah’s Murbad and Maidaq, experienced moderate to heavy rains, with some hail reported. An orange alert was issued for convective clouds associated with rainfall, lasting until 8 pm.

Authorities have urged the public to follow safety guidelines, such as adhering to modified speed limits, avoiding valley areas, and keeping first-aid kits and alternative light sources on hand.
