The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) will administer Chinese Sinopharm vaccine against the coronavirus starting on Sunday, January 31.
It will be initially administered at three health centres in the emirates: Nad Al Hammar, Al Twar, and Al Mankhool.
According to a DHA tweet, Emirati citizens and senior Dubai residents who are 60 years and above will be prioritized to get the vaccine.
Meanwhile, the health authority in Dubai said that they will reach out to those who already have pre-registered appointments for vaccination.
For several weeks, DHA was only administering the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. Last week, it announced that it is rescheduling the appointments for those who were to receive the first dose amid a global supply crunch.
