The emirate of Dubai has very recently announced the resumption of social events including allowing hotels and other venues to host wedding receptions.
The new rule, on the other hand, will only allow 200 people in one hall, and 30 people in tents and homes. This will be possible provided that hosts and guests will follow the safety protocols such as maintaining a social distance of four meters per person.
Citing the new guidelines issued by the Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management, events can't be longer than four hours.
The guidelines for social events include:
-All attendees are mandated to wear face masks at all times and can only be removed when seated at their tables.
-Five people per table are only allowed
-Guests should avoid being seated face-to-face. They are also required to maintain a safe distance of more than 5 metres between each other.
-Tables must be placed at least two metres apart from each other.
-Any person showing Covid-19 symptoms such as coughing, or fever, should not attend the gathering.
