Dubai residents who have complied with visa regulations for 10 years will soon be eligible for rewards as part of a new government initiative starting next month. The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA-Dubai) announced the campaign, called "The Ideal Face," which also includes workers and those under sponsorship.
The initiative will offer benefits such as priority services at Amer centers, faster processing of visa-related requests, and home services for elderly residents. Emiratis who have sponsored workers with spotless residency records will also be rewarded.
To qualify, residents must sign an "obligation certificate" on the GDRFA-Dubai website, which will be verified by immigration officials before issuing a digital certificate.
This move encourages adherence to residency laws and is part of the UAE’s broader goal of fostering a positive and stable society, said Lt Gen Mohammed Al Marri, director general of GDRFA-Dubai. The campaign aligns with the ongoing visa amnesty, which allows overstayers to regularize their status or leave the country without penalties until October 31.
