Dubai is set to host the biggest open-air concert in its history with international music icon Ed Sheeran scheduled to perform on January 19th and 20th at The Sevens Stadium. The event is orchestrated by All Things Live Middle East, with support from Dubai Calendar and Coca-Cola Arena.
Sheeran, a global phenomenon with over 150 million records sold, is expected to draw in a massive crowd for the two exclusive nights. The concert is a part of his monumental Mathematics ‘+ - = ÷ x’ Tour, which has already captured the hearts of over 3 million fans worldwide.
For the first time since 2017, UAE fans will have the chance to see Sheeran live. His distinctive performance style, playing ‘in the round’ with a 360-degree central stage, promises attendees an intimate and unparalleled concert experience.
The CEO of All Things Live Middle East, Thomas Ovesen, expressed enthusiasm about Sheeran’s return: “We’re excited to have one of the world’s best-selling artists back to deliver his record-breaking show in a unique format for Dubai’s audience.”
Sheeran's tour of Asia in 2023 marks his first since 2019, with the Dubai concerts being his first Middle East performances since 2017. This follows a streak of successful shows, including his recent record-setting USA tour, which saw unprecedented attendance records in venues like Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium and New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium.
Adding to this year’s excitement, Sheeran has released two No.1 charting albums, ‘-ʼ (Subtract) and Autumn Variations. Collaborating with Aaron Dessner from The National, both albums have received widespread critical acclaim.
