Even fully vaccinated government employees in Abu Dhabi are still mandated to under a Covid-19 PCR test every month to enter their workstations, the Human Resources Authority (HRA) of Abu Dhabi announced on its social media pages.
Meanwhile, non-vaccinated employees are still required to under the test every week.
The ministry said that employees should bear the cost for the weekly or monthly tests.
It was earlier reported that fully vaccinated employees who had taken both the doses and completed 28 days are exempted from the routine PCR tests. In addition, those who have received the second dose but are yet to complete 28 days and those who have a medical certificate exempting them from receiving the jab must take a test every seven days.
Exempted from the newly announced rules are those vaccinated residents who have special icons--E or the golden star--shown on their Al Hosn app. The special icons, according to a local report, will only appear if the person takes a PCR test after receiving the vaccines.
