In a tweet, Abu Dhabi Police warned motorists against leaving their car engines on while they are away from their vehicles at shopping malls, petrol stations, or ATMs as such acts have often resulted in car thefts.
The traffic department in the capital stressed the importance of not leaving vehicles unattended, especially when they are with children and infants inside the vehicles.
