Migrant Workers Office in Dubai Conducts Two Consular Missions For Over 1,000 OFWs

The Migrant Workers Office (MWO) for Dubai and Northern Emirates recently conducted another successful Consular Mission to extend crucial services to Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).

Spearheaded by the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai, the mission provided a range of services, including passport renewal, notarial services, civil registration, report of marriage, and legal capacity to contract marriage.

During the mission, a total of 419 individual MWO-Dubai services were delivered to OFWs. These services encompassed employment contract verification, OWWA membership/renewal, SSS, and Pag-IBIG membership services, aimed at easing administrative processes for the Filipino workforce in the region.

The event received overwhelming support from the local Filipino community, with the UAE Beta Sigma Fraternity and the Sigma Beta Sorority providing free refreshments to OFWs as they availed themselves of the MWO's services.

This follows a previous special service event conducted on 08 July 2023, where 785 individual MWO services were provided to OFWs in Dubai and Northern Emirates. The Alpha Phi Omega UAE Alumni Association generously supplied refreshments for that event.
