The Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) is set to make history by bringing the excitement of Philippine basketball to Dubai for the first time in an overseas championship series. The 2024 MPBL National Finals will tip off with Game 1 on December 1 and Game 2 on December 3, taking place at the Sheikh Rashid Bin Hamdan Indoor Hall of Al Nasr Club.

Basketball fans in Dubai can secure their seats for as low as AED 200, with tickets available on Ticketsfy. Gold sections A, B, C, and D are priced at AED 200 each, while Platinum sections A and B offer premium seating at AED 300 per game day. Both games are scheduled to start at 7:00 PM Gulf Standard Time (11:00 PM Philippine Time).

Representing the best in Philippine basketball, the Pampanga Giant Lanterns and Quezon Huskers will face off in the finals. The Pampanga Giant Lanterns enter as the defending champions, having clinched the North Division title with a strong performance over the San Juan Knights. Meanwhile, the Quezon Huskers have made an impressive journey to their first South Division title, triumphing over the Batangas City Tanduay Rum Masters.

Adding to the festivities, a highly anticipated exhibition game will feature MPBL Founder and CEO Manny Pacquiao leading a team against a local selection from Dubai. According to David John of DJMC, the event’s organizer, the Pacquiao team will face off against the Kris Fade Team, offering fans a thrilling bonus attraction alongside the finals.

This historic event, organized by DJMC, follows the successful MPBL Dubai Invasion in 2019 and aims to bring the spirit of Philippine basketball to the Middle East.
