Private sector employees are also now included in the list of people who need to undergo the Covid-19 test every seven days.
The circular from the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) was issued on February 9 and is effective immediately. It was addressed to all owners and managers of all companies and establishments in Abu Dhabi, in accordance with the capital’s preventive measures to limit the spread of Covid-19.
Those who are completely vaccinated against the deadly virus are exempted from taking the test every week.
In a circular obtained by The Filipino Times, it quoted: “ADDED hereby notifies you that starting from the date of this circular, you are requested to direct your employees to get tested for Covid-19 (PCR tests) on a weekly basis.”
The UAE government has earlier announced that all unvaccinated federal employees are also required to undergo Covid-19 tests each week to prevent the spread of the virus.
