RAKTA Introduces AED50 Bus Route From UAE to Musandam, Oman

A new land route to Oman has been launched for UAE residents eager to explore the neighboring nation. On Tuesday, the Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority (RAKTA) introduced its new bus service connecting Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE to Musandam in Oman.

Starting October 6, 2023, travelers can board buses from Ras Al Khaimah’s main bus station in Al Dhait South, with en-route stops at Al Rams and the Shaam area, before reaching the scenic Musandam region in Oman. For the return journey, buses will initiate from the Wilayat of Khasab in Oman, making stops at Tibaat, Wilayat of Bukha, Harf, and the Qada area, before terminating at Ras Al Khaimah.

Interested travelers should take note of the service’s schedule. Buses will run on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with an estimated total journey time of around 3 hours. Both starting points, RAK bus station and Wilayat of Khasab, offer ride timings from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Budget-conscious travelers will appreciate the fare – a one-way ticket is priced at AED50, which translates to roughly OMR 5.23.

For ease of access, tickets are available for booking through the RAKBUS application, the official RAKTA website at rakta.gov.ae, directly on the bus, or in-person at the Ras Al Khaimah Bus Station.
