The traffic authority in Abu Dhabi is set to revise the payment period for public parking across the capital during the holy month of Ramadan.
Department of Municipalities and Transport’s Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) confirmed that parking fees in the capital will only be collected between 9am to 2pm, and between 9pm to 2:30am. Parking will remain fee on Fridays, and on Thursdays, the evening payment period will be extended only until midnight, not 2:30am.
The transport regulator in the capital also announced that people attending Tarawih prayers will be exempted from parking fees for the duration of the prayer if they park in lots surrounding mosques.
Darb tolls, on the other hand, will continue to charge motorists between the regular peak hours: 7am to 9am in the mornings, and 5pm to 7pm in the evenings.
