The UAE has been ranked as one of the best places to live during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Based on Bloomberg’s Covid019 Resilience Ranking, UAE placed sixth best place to live amid the pandemic. The country has also among the fewest Covid-19 restrictions of the 53 countries.
For the past couple of days, UAE has been recording less than 300 Covid-19 cases. The Ministry of Health and Prevention in the country recorded 270 Covid-19 cases, 350 recoveries, and only one death on Wednesday, September 29.
Meanwhile, the Philippines has been ranked as the world’s worst place to live after it dropped to rank 53 due to the spread of the Delta variant.
“The country scores low on all four of our metrics related to reopening, and with a vaccine coverage rate of 20% — among the lowest of those ranked — the Philippines is engaged in one of the most stringent lockdowns of the 53,” Bloomberg noted.
“The most significant impediment to the Philippines’ response has been its limited access to vaccines. The country has used a disparate range of shots to try and ramp up the rollout,” it added.
