Uae Residents Can Now Get Their Emirates Id Within 24 Hours

A new service is being offered by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security (ICP) that allows UAE residents to claim their Emirates ID within 24 hours.

The new service, 'Fawri', translated 'speedy' in Arabic, can only be used for first-time registrations if the applicant is a UAE or GCC national officially residing in the emirates.

Expatriates who wish to use the 24-hour service for the renewal or expired, lost or damaged cards, may also avail of the new service.

Non-GCC residents are only entitled to use the urgent service if they want to replace a missing Emirates ID. This is because the issuance of identity cards needs to be linked to proof of residency.

To avail of the service, just head to any of the Customer Happiness Centre in person with the required documents, including an original valid passport, an original valid entry visa, and a valid residence permit.

Below are the ICP Customer Happiness Centres offering the Fawri service:

Ajman Centre in Ajman

Fujairah Centre in Fujeirah
