Did you know that working without the right work permit in the UAE is a serious violation of the country’s labor law?
Those on visit visas and who are working may be slapped with AED10,000 fine, imprisoned for three months, and deported after serving the term.
“Every foreigner who entered the country under a visit visa and wished to work in the country must obtain a permission from the competent authority, otherwise he shall be penalized in accordance with imprisonment for a period not exceeding three months and a fine not exceeding AED10,000, or one of these two penalties and the court shall order the deportation of the violator from the state,” the Dubai Public Prosecutor posted on their social media channels last January 12, 2022.
