Wearing Facemask In UAE No Longer Mandatory In Certain Places



Health authorities in the UAE have announced that the wearing of facemasks in the country is no longer mandatory in certain places.


This news was announced by the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) and the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA).


However, residents are still required to observe a safe physical distance of two metres.

According to a The National news, this decision will be most significant in Abu Dhabi, where people are required to wear a mask in almost all public places.


People exercising in public places, while in private vehicles, for residents living in the same houses are no longer required to wear a facemask.


This also applies to people who are alone in closed spaces, or when obtaining personal service for one’s services for one’s face and head in barbershops and beauty centres, salons, as well as in medical centres and clinics when undergoing diagnostic and treatment services.
