The Filipino Social Club in Dubai (FilSoc-Dubai) inaugurated its new set of officers in a grand ceremony themed 'Empowering Connections: Building a Stronger Community,' reflecting the club's vision for a united and empowered Filipino community in Dubai.
The oath-taking event unfolded last September 17, 2023, at the illustrious Swissotel Al Murooj in Downtown, Dubai. The ceremony was graced by distinguished guests, including officials from the Community Development Authority Dubai (CDA), representatives from the Philippine Embassy in the UAE, and members from the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, underscoring the importance of fostering a strong bond within the Filipino community in the region.
The oath of office was administered to the following newly elected officers:
President: Ericson Reyes
Vice President: Ellanie Villena
Secretary: Christian Belleza
Treasurer: Iris Omandam
PRO: Zyra Rey
Auditor: Ruzell Aguilar
Board Members: Cecilia Leoparte, Jomana Mohammad, and Ahmad Almatrooshi
Under the spirited leadership of the new president, Ericson Reyes, the team is expected to further the club’s mission of consolidating the Filipino community, promoting the rich Filipino culture, and aiding in the welfare of its members in Dubai.
